Post Adoption Support Manager

A Local Authority in Southwark is looking for a Team Manager within Childrens Social Work to join their Post Adoption Support Team on a locum basis, offering a competitive pay rate of up to £40.00 per day.

Responsibilities of you as a Team Manager:

• Inspiring leadership and management to promote timely and effective adoption support.
• An enthusiasm for partnership working across 10 different LAs in South London.
• The ability to work across ALS with assessment and family finding colleagues to ensure the best use of resources.
• A commitment to equal rights to access for services for children, adopters, Adult Adoptees, Birth family members who use ALS services. An interest in developing excellent post adoption services for everyone affected by adoption in South London
• Knowledge of childcare legislation, statutory guidance, and the London Child Protection Procedures.
• Positively manage and contribute to service development within the team and across the service.
• Ability to work flexible hours to fit with the needs of young people and families - including evening and weekends as required.
• Work with Case Management systems and ensure management information is well maintained and good understanding of performance and Key Performance Indicators and framework to support this.

Requirements of you as a Team Manager:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Experience in Adoption
