Out of Hours AMHP

A West Midlands Local Authority are looking for Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) to join their Mental Health Team. This is an OOH role.

Your responsibilities as an AMHP in the Mental Health Team:

• Undertake a range of emergency assessments of vulnerable adults, children and young people in need, or in need of protection, and their families/carers, critically analysing all necessary information and responding appropriately to the needs of specific vulnerable adults, children and young people and any current or emerging safeguarding issues
• Work with a range of partner agencies to reduce the risk of harm and provide advice and support to vulnerable adults, children, young people and families
• Be part of the out of hours planned staffing rota and where appropriate to provide cover in the absence of EDT social work staff, as directed by the EDT team manager
• Be responsible for and have a continued desire towards personal and professional development including continued AMHP accreditation/ reapproval

Requirements of the AMHP in the Mental Health Team

• Current registration with Social Work England
• AMHP Qualification
• 2 years post qualifying UK experience
• Qualified Social Worker BA/DipSW/CQSW or equivalent

Pay rate: £45 per hour (Umbrella)
