Locum Team Manager - Adoption Team

Southend on Sea City Council is looking for an experienced Team Manager to join their Adoption Team.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience of managing a team who are involved in diverse and complex work with children and families to ensure the delivery of effective and responsive adoption service for partner members of the regional adoption agency.

The key to success in this role is to contribute to the effective leadership, management and development of Adopt East achieving consistency and high standards which provide excellent outcomes for children and their families.

Your responsibilities as an Adoption Team Manager:

• To provide leadership and management of the adoption team to ensure the best outcomes
• To prepare for and manage inspections and achieve good outcomes.
• Assist in implementing and reviewing procedures for monitoring and tracking permanence planning for looked after children to avoid drift.
• Ensure that the Adoption Service complies with all National Minimum Standards, Regulations and Statutory Guidance.
• Ensure compliance with child protection processes and procedures.
• To ensure services and support to staff is delivered using our restorative practice model.

Requirements of you as an Adoption Team Manager:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience in Adoption and Team Management
• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required

Umbrella pay rate: £45.00
