Locum Child Protection Chair

A Local Authority in Central London is looking for a Child Protection Chair to join their Quality Assurance Service.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

As a Child Protection Chair you will chair CP Conferences, Looked After Child Reviews, Fostering Annual Reviews and lead safeguarding consultations and initial multi-agency planning meetings for example in relation to child sexual exploitation and harmful sexual behaviour.

Your responsibilities as a CP Chair:

• Management Experience
• Involvement in LAC reviews
• CP Conferences
• Ability to provide knowledge and guidance to colleagues regarding LAC and CP proceedings
• Legislation and Process knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and therefore correctly advocate for them

Requirements of you as a CP Chair:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience of Quality Assurance, IRO, CP Chair
• A valid UK driving licence and car is essential to this role

Location: Hackney, London

Umbrella pay rate: £40.00 per hour
