Job description

Do you have experience working within the social care sector?

We are looking for dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team of Learning Disabilities Practitioner- Children.

You will be supporting young people with various learning disabilities within the childrens residential homes onsite of an SEN school. The school is based in the Bracknell, Berkshire area and is a rural location allowing the students to thrive.

There is a wide range of sensory based activities to get involved in with the students including an onsite swimming pool and small farm.

As a Learning Disabilities Practitioner- Children you will be expected to promote independance, inclusion, communication as well as positive relationship building to the young people.

Daily tasks will include providing personal care, general housekeeping, basic meal preparation, dealing with challenging behaviours, enagaging in activities, report writing and handovers.

Shift timings: Long Days (07:30am-19:45pm)

Requirements for you as a Learning Disabilities Practitioner- Children:

  • Drivers disirable due to rural location
  • Experience within children or adult social care
  • Comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Proactive, reliable and positive attitude

Pay rate:- £11.00 p/h weekday and 11.50 p/h weekend + Holiday Pay.
