Job description
A local authority is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Looked After Children Team. This is a full-time, permanent position paying up to £47,420, based around Swindon. Within this role there are lots of opportunities to build meaningful relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.

Responsibilities for you as a Looked After Children Social Worker:
- Supporting Children through a new Family Safeguarding model
- To advise, guide and support colleagues to meet legal, procedure and practice requirements.
- To write reports for court hearings and to present evidence in court
- To participate in Practice Education Professional Standards (PEPS) training and undertake placement supervision of student social workers.
- Be an ambassador for the Council and the department at all times
Requirements for you as a Looked After Children Social Worker:
- Social Work Degree / Diploma in Social Work
- Social Work England Registration
- Post qualifying experience working with Looked After Children or Care Experienced Young People.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- A working knowledge and understanding of relevant Social Work legislation and regulations

Salary scale: £43,420 - £47,420 (Depending on Experience) + Benefits
