Intake and Assessment Social Worker

A Southwest Local Authority are looking to recruit an Intake and Assessment Social Worker.

Intake and Assessment is an exciting team, due to Cardiff's demography the work is diverse and progressive. Practitioners undertake Well-being and S47 assessments and provide short term interventions to support families to increase safety within the home. Practitioners hold cases for a short period of time; long term work is generally transferred at the first planning meeting.

Your responsibilities as an Intake and Assessment Social Worker:

• Undertake Well-being and S47 assessments and provide short term interventions to support families to increase safety within the home.
• To assist users to enhance their independence and coping skills
• To contribute to team meetings, service development days and training as appropriate

Requirements of you as an Intake and Assessment Social Worker:

• Have a relevant professional qualification in Social Work.
• a social work qualification and registered with Social Work England
• satisfactorily completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
• experience working within social care, including working in a multi-agency and court environment
• Must hold UK driver's licence.

Salary scale: up to £42,500 d.o.e + Amazing retention payments
