Fostering Social Worker

Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council are looking for a Social Worker to join their Fostering Team. This is a Locum Social Worker role offering £48.00 per hour.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working with fostering teams. The key to success in this role is to be able to start a contract confidently without the need for supervision, along with previous experience working with disabled children.

Your responsibilities as a Children's Fostering Social Worker:

• Play a key role in helping vulnerable children and young people find a foster home
• Understand the life-changing potential of a safe and supportive home life
• Supervise and advise foster carers, and make sure that both carers and children have the support they need to thrive
• You will inspire carers to grow in confidence and achieve their potential, with a real impact on the children they care for

Requirements of you as a Children's Fostering Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience of Frontline work
• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is Useful

Location: Bournemouth

Umbrella pay rate: £48.00 per hour
