Fostering Placements Officer

Southwark Borough Council is looking for a Fostering Placements Officer to join in their Fostering Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working in fostering environment. The key to success in this role is to be able to start a contract confidently without the need for supervision.

Your responsibilities as a Fostering Placements Officer:

• Managing in house Foster Carer requests from Social Workers
• Ensuring the quality of information enables the identification of in-house Foster Carers
• Working with Supervising Social Worker
• Support Fostering and ART to identify and facilitate placements.
• Liaising with ART and Supervising Social Workers to maximise placements of children

Requirements of you as a Fostering Placements Officer:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge of children legislation

Location: Greater London, Southwark

Umbrella pay rate: £37.00 per hour
