I am recruiting for a Deputy Manager to work in a local authority run children's home, 4 bed for young people with EBD based in Epsom.

The Deputy Manager will support the Registered Manager in the day to day running, ensure the home is compliant with Ofsted, safeguarding and quality standards, supervising and managing the staff, appraisals risk assessments and care plans.

The Deputy Manager role is a permanent full time post paying £38,746 per annum including public sector pension, over industry average annua leave, overtime in lieu offering and public sector benefits.

Please note, this role will include working shifts including morning, evening, weekends and bank holidays.

The Deputy Manager must have

  • Level 3 Residential Childcare
  • Commitment to complete the Level 5 Leadership and Management (if not already completed)
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted, children's home regulations, safeguarding
  • Proven managerial experience in a children's homes
  • Positive and influential personality
