Job description
A Local Authority in the East of England is looking for a Specialist Clinician to join their Corporate Parenting Clinical Team.
This is a Locum Social Work role.
The purpose of the Specialist Clinician is to provide evidence based complex assessment and treatment to children across the neighboring councils.

Your responsibilities as a Specialist Clinician:
- Working with complex individual and family situations with intergenerational trauma, support children, young people and their families who are experiencing signs of mental health and emotional distress.
- Offer consultation to social care teams, hospitals, schools, other statutory and non-statutory organisations to improve inter-agency collaboration in the provision of timely, accessible and responsive child centred interventions for children and their families.
- Including but is not limited to the following where they do not meet the threshold for CAMHS services: behavioural issues, depression, trauma, anxiety, developmental delay, phobias, aggression, consequences of child abuse.
- You will use a multidisciplinary approach to work within the context of the child's life, for example their family or school.
Requirements of you as a Specialist Clinician:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- A valid Social Work England registration
- Have competent knowledge and experience working as a SW in Corporate Parenting and Fostering
- A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required.
Location: East Of England
Umbrella pay rate: Up to £40.00
