Children's Social Worker

A local authority is looking for a Children's Social Worker to join a Children Looked After Team.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience.

About the team

This team strive to implement positive change in children's lives.

The Children Looked After Team support children and young people aged 0-18 that are accommodated by Richmond and Kingston. The service is responsible for quality placements of children and young people into various settings such as Kinship placements, foster placements, and residential provisions. The team focuses on ensuring their needs are met and the children and young people are safeguarded through the implementation of effective care plans.

About you

We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive professional with a strong working knowledge of Children's legislation. We are also looking for someone with knowledge of digital hardware or software to support your work effectively i.e. Microsoft or Google. The successful candidate will also have good organisational abilities including time management, creative-thinking, problem-solving and multitasking.

A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years' experience working in a Children's setting is beneficial for this role.
