Children's Safeguarding Social Worker

The Lancashire County Council are looking for a Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working in a Safeguarding Team. The key to success in this role is to be able to start a contract confidently without the need for supervision.

Your responsibilities as a Family Safeguarding Social Worker:

• Identify and safeguard children in need
• Manage an allocated caseload relating to the safeguarding of children
• Ensure the needs and wishes of children are fully addressed in the assessment and planning process
• Gather information and make judgment on whether there is a need for intervention within the continuum of need and referral recorded with Children's Social Care
• Comply with LCC and service-specific administrative and financial procedures including the maintenance of appropriate and up-to-date records.

Requirements of you as a Family Safeguarding Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience in Children's Safeguarding
• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is preferred
