Child Protection Advisor

A North London based Local Authority is looking for a Child Protection Advisor to join their Child Protection Conference Team. As the Child Protection Advisor, you will chair both Child Protection Conferences and Contextual Safeguarding Child in Need meetings. This role is a full-time, and permanent position.

You will be joining this local authority's vision on supporting Children and Young people to make them feel safe and secure. As the ideal Child Protection Advisor will be an experienced social work practitioner with substantial post-qualification experience in statutory children's social work. You will need to be committed and have the drive to match this Local Authority's ambitions.

Your responsibilities as the Child Protection Advisor:

• Provide safeguarding advice to practitioners
• Work closely with partner agencies
• Monitor, support and improve practice
• Develop young people's involvement in their own meetings

Requirements of you as the Child Protection Advisor:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid registration with Social Work England
• Safeguarding/child protection experience
• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Location: North London

Salary: up to £58,000
