Assessment Social Worker

London Borough of Bromley is looking for a Specialist Social Worker to join their Referral and Assessment Service.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working in Referral and Assessment and frontline teams.

The key to success in this role is to be able to complete assessments to identify children who may be vulnerable or at risk of harm.

Your responsibilities and experience as an Assessment Social Worker:

• Manage cases that relate to children between the ages of 0-17.

• Past experience identifying vulnerable children in need, children who need protection and safeguarding

• Conduct Investigations and assessments of children on a joint basis with the Police Child Abuse and Investigation Team (CAIT)
• Complete Assessments through direct work with children and families plus appropriate professionals, to identify needs/risks and develop plans to meet these as appropriate.

• Ability to turn cases around within short time periods, i.e., 12 Weeks

Requirements of an Assessment Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience of work within Assessments and Frontline Teams
• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required

Location: Bromley, London

Umbrella pay rate: £38.50p/h
