Job description
Slough Children First are looking for experienced Social Workers to join their Assessment Team.
This is a Locum Social Work role.

As a Social Worker in the Referral and Assessment Service, you will develop effective relationships with children, young people and their families to improve the impact of work and determine the level of service available.

Your responsibilities and experience as an Assessment Social Worker:
- Completing assessments of the needs of children and their families
- Knowledge and ability of multiagency working
- Ability to explore and assess risk
- Drawing up plans of intervention in the lives of children and their families
- Knowledge of family network meetings/family group conferences to draw up family support plan
- Knowledge of the Children's Act; particularly sections 17 and 47
- Presenting cases in multiagency meetings/settings
- Ability to work collaboratively with families
- Court work experience is an added advantage
- Ability to effectively communicate with children and actively involve them in the assessment of their needs
Requirements of an Assessment Social Worker:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
- A valid Social Work England registration
- Have competent knowledge and experience of work within Assessments and Frontline Teams
- A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required
Location: Slough,Berkshire
Umbrella pay rate: £40.00p/h
