Adoption Team Manager

A local authority in the West Midlands area is looking for an Team Manager to join their Adoption team.

Please note that this is a Locum position.

Responsibilities as an Adoption Team Manager:

* To ensure the provision of a high quality and effective social work service to meet the needs of children and their families, safeguarding children in a timely manner within statutory guidelines.
* To represent the service within multi-agency forums and to contribute to the development of policy and practice in Children's Services across the city.
* To work in partnership with colleagues in the Councils/Trust participating in the Regional Adoption Agency and other partners in order to provide a coherent and co-ordinated service and to ensure the best possible outcomes for all children in their service area.
* To provide effective leadership within the service, taking responsibility, being accountable and motivating staff within the team.
* To promote good practice in the adoption specialism of the team in which you are working.
* To act as a champion within the service for restorative practice.

Requirements for you as an Adoption Team Manager:

• Valid Social Work England Registration
• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Dip SW/CQSW) with AYSE year completed
• Adoption Team Manager experience
• Driver's License preferable

Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Umbrella pay rate: up to £41.42 p/h (West Midlands Pay Cap)
