Adoption Social Worker

A Regional Adoption Agency in the North West are looking for a Locum Qualified Social Worker to join their Adoption Assessment and Support Team.

• Full time role - 37 hours per week

Responsibilities of the Locum Senior Social Worker:

• To ensure permanence for children through adoption, and cover statutory responsibility for them between Placement Order and Adoption Order
• To ensure that adoptive families are well supported including adopters from first enquiry onwards
• Case responsibility for children on Placement Orders as well as family finding to ensure that permanence through adoption is achieved where possible and appropriate
• The work is very varied and requires competent Social Workers with post qualifying experience of the statutory responsibilities associated with both Looked After children and Adoption

Requirements of the Locum Senior Social Worker:

• Social Work England Registration
• A recognised Social Work degree
• Clear enhanced DBS

• 3 years' experience working in Family Placements, ideally in adoption

Pay rate: Up to £40 per hour

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
