Waking Night Support Worker

We are looking for an experienced waking night member of staff to work in a rolling contract for a large care home based in Newbury. You will be working with residents aged 55+ who have sever dementia and who are frail.

Ideally you would have worked in a care home previously with dementia patients. We need someone who is fast on their feet and can use their initiative due to lack of management staff on a night shift.


Monday to Sunday Waking Nights Availalbe

Your responsibilities as the Support Worker:

  • Following care plans
  • Covering the floor through-out the night ensure all calls are met
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Dealing with any emergencies of incidents throughout the night
  • Report writing and record keeping
  • Working with other professionals such as nurses and senior team members

Requirements of you as the Support Worker

  • Experience working within a residential care home
  • Experience working with Older people with dementia
  • NVQ level 2-3 desirable
  • Car driver desirable

Location: Newbury

Salary: from £10.00 - £13.00 per hour
