We are seeking a passionate, committed and enthusiastic Registered Learning Disability Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse. If you have the confidence and ability to make autonomous decisions and work collectively with the Multi-disciplinary team, then this opportunity is for you.

Our opportunity in Liverpool is in a designed and purpose-built specialist residential service for adults with learning disabilities and co-existing conditions. These include sensory impairment and epilepsy.

The home is modern and offers staff a supportive environment with a strong team in place dedicated to meeting and excelling the residents social and individual care needs.

The right candidate will demonstrate a professional, caring and compassionate approach with a strong work ethic and aptitude to building solid working relationships.

As Unit Manager you will:

  • To promote, monitor and implement standards for patient care within the ward/unit environment, evaluating through clinical governance and audit.
  • Provide clinical leadership, positive role modelling to the ward team, ensuring effective communication across the multidisciplinary team, through supervision, mentoring and appraisal.
  • Ensure all CPA and risk assessment and HONOS is an integral part of the patients care and that it is monitored and updated on a regular basis.
  • Develop and lead regular patient feedback mechanisms e.g. satisfaction surveys, outcome studies, community meetings.
  • Ensure all staff and patient census data is completed efficiently and on time, and that patient data is recorded accurately on Medtrak, or similar database.
