An ethical, not-for-profit Fostering Agency is looking for an experienced Team Manager to join on a Locum contract. This contract is for up to 3 months, with the potential to go permanent.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Part of your role as Team Manager will be to take part in the provision of an 'out of hours' service on the senior duty rota
  • You will be managing a team of 6 Supervising social Workers
  • You'll be managing a high quality fostering service, ensuring that comprehensive support services and supervision is provided to all foster carers
  • As the Locum Team Manager you will contribute to maintaining the agency's high standards, in order to promote positive outcomes for children and young people, and ensure that social work and foster care practice continues to achieve 'Outstanding' or 'Good' in Ofsted inspections
  • You will work within financial budgets (determined by the Board) and promote good practice and placement stability, to ensure the continuing security of the company

Requirements:

  • HCPC Registration and a clear enhanced DBS
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Full UK driving license and the ability to travel across South Yorkshire, The North West and East Midlands
  • Previous management experience and a background in Fostering Social Work
