Gloucestershire County Council are looking for a Team Manager, who can provide strong management oversight, to a team in Children in Care/Care Leavers (aged 11-25). This is a challenging, yet rewarding role, within a busy team setting on a rolling locum basis.

Your responsibilities as the Team Manager:

  • You will manage the workflow within social work caseloads to ensure that children and young people's needs are met appropriately within a timely manner
  • You will demonstrate clear decision making
  • Develop a clear team plan which links the strategic objectives of the organisation

The successful candidate must have experience in:

  • You must be an experienced team manager, who can provide strong management oversight and support to a team of social workers and PAs working with children in care and care leavers aged 11-25.
  • Quality assurance of cases
  • Experience of managing a team of professionals which demonstrates inspirational leadership, reflective supervision and staff development.

Requirements of you as the SSW:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid HCPC registration
  • Full UK driving license

Location: Gloucestershire City Council

Hours: 37 hours

Pay rate: £41 per hour
