A rewarding opportunity for dedicated and passionate support workers to join an expanding supported living service with a leading provider of care within Gloucestershire. Offering a salary of £14,000+ (plus £3,000 for sleep-ins).

My client provides exceptional supported living services in Gloucester, providing care for adults with complex needs including learning disabilities and mental health difficulties.

This service allows individuals to live independently with the appropriate level of support. Service users are assisted in their transition from residential housing to living in their own homes. The organisation offers a diverse range of accommodation, from individual flats to house shares, to cater for each individual's needs. All service users hold their own tenancy agreements, with the organisation helping individuals to manage their own accommodation through landlords or housing schemes.

A Support Worker's responsibilities include

  • Delivering person-centred support to service users in accordance with CQC standards
  • Encouraging the independence of the service users at all times
  • Appropriately responding to each individual's needs in accordance with their care plans and risk assessments
  • Promoting the interests of the service users at all times
  • Acting as a positive role model and member of the care team
  • Effective communication with the Senior staff as well as the Deputy/Service Manager

A Support Worker will have

  • NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care
  • 1-year experience working with learning disabilities and mental health
  • A compassionate approach to working with people with varying disabilities and complex needs
  • Driving licence preferred

Must be available to work shifts on weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. The role offers full training and progression opportunities.
