Support Workers need to work in a Residential School working with children aged 8-19 years with severe learning and physical disabilities. The ideal support worker would have previously worked within a similar environment and hold NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People

Rotas:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday Saturday and Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Your responsibilities as the Support Worker:

  • Work closely with the children and young people ensure that they are safe at all times
  • Supporting them with learning and development, personal care, meal times
  • Working closely with other professionals such as nurses, support workers, and SEN teachers
  • Adhering to school's policies, procedures and the children's guidelines
  • You will work as part of a team to ensure the children's emotional, behavioural, physical and intellectual needs are met
  • You will follow the child's Risk Assessment and Behaviour Guidelines at all times to ensure a consistent and safe approach is followed

Requirements of you as the Support Worker:

  • NVQ level 3 or above
  • Must have experience working within a special needs school
  • Experience working with autism, epilepsy and challenging behaviour
  • Enhanced child DBS
  • Car Driver
  • Have good communication skills, and good written and spoken English
  • Experience carrying a case load

Location: Basingstoke/Hook

Salary: £10.00 - £12.00 depending on payment method
