We are currently looking for experience NVQ level 3 Support Workers to join a specialist educational needs school based in Hampshire.

As part of this job role you will be working with children aged 8-19 years with severe learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and challenging behaviour. The client is looking for dedicated, experienced support work staff that will be given endless training and development opportunities in order to fulfil the lives of these children.


Days: 07:30- 20:00pm or 11:30 - 22:00pm

Nights: 19:30 - 07:45am

Your responsibilities as the Support Worker:

  • Work closely with the children and young people ensure that they are safe at all times
  • Supporting them with learning and development, personal care, meal times
  • Working closely with other professionals such as nurses, support workers, and SEN teachers
  • Adhering to school's policies, procedures and the children's guidelines
  • You will work as part of a team to ensure the children's emotional, behavioural, physical and intellectual needs are met
  • You will follow the child's Risk Assessment and Behaviour Guidelines at all times to ensure a consistent and safe approach is followed

Requirements of you as the Support Worker:

  • NVQ level 3 or above
  • Must have experience working within a special needs school
  • Experience working with autism, epilepsy and challenging behaviour
  • Enhanced child DBS
  • Car Driver
  • Have good communication skills, and good written and spoken English
  • Experience carrying a case load

Location: Basingstoke/Hook

Salary: Negotiable
