Support Worker - Adult Learning Disabilities

Support Worker required in a Supported Living Service aiding young adults with learning disabilities. You as the support worker will be working with adults between the ages of 19-30 with learning disabilities, autism and epilepsy. The ideal support worker will have relevant experience with such individuals and have excellent written and spoken English.

Location: Newbury

Salary: £9.00 - £12.50 depending on shift type, payment type and qualifications

Shift Pattern: Varied - 07:00 - 15:00
07:00 - 21:00
11:00 - 17:00
15:00 - 22:00
16:00 - 22:00
09:00 - 17:00

Responsibilities for you as the Support Worker:

  • Supporting service users with daily tasks whilst promoting independence
  • Working closely with service users, staff, families and other relevant professionals
  • Following service user care plans
  • Assisting service users to go out and enjoy social activities such as swimming and horse-riding

Requirements for you as the Support Worker:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience working in a supported living environment
  • Experience working with autism, learning disabilities and epilepsy
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Encouraging and supportive attitude
