Support Worker - Adult Learning Disabilities

Support Worker required in a Supported Living Service aiding adults with severe and complex learning disabilities. You as the support worker will be working with adults over the age of 18 with learning disabilities. The ideal support worker will have relevant experience with such individuals and have excellent written and spoken English.

Location: Newbury

Salary: £9.00 - £13 depending on shift type, payment type and qualifications

Shift Pattern: Varied - 08:00 - 16:00
08:00 - 20:00
14:00 - 20:00
12:00 - 20:00
20:00 - 08:00

Responsibilities for you as the Support Worker:

  • Supporting service users with daily tasks whilst promoting independence
  • Working closely with service users, staff, families and other relevant professionals
  • Following service user care plans
  • Assisting service users to go out and enjoy social activities

Requirements for you as the Support Worker:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience working in a supported living environment
  • Experience working with severe learning disabilities
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Encouraging and supportive attitude
