A client in Reading is currently seeking an experienced support worker to join their expanding service in Reading. You will be working within a Mother and Baby Unit in Reading, working with vulnerable mothers and their new burns.

Experience working with this client group is essential.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and can work well on their own and as part of a team. The ideal applicant will have had previous experience working in this environment previously and has strong knowledge of policies and processes.

Shifts:

Days: 07:30-14:30, 14:30-22:00

Waking Night: 22:00 - 07:30

Your responsibilities as the Support Worker:

  • To provide support when and where it is needed within our semi-independent services
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Strong record keeping skills
  • To ensure that all policies and procedures of Outcomes Focused Support Services are adhered to
  • To ensure that regular opportunities are given for young people to feedback on the service and for consultation and to ensure that this information is used to improve the service
  • To keep thorough, confidential and up to date young people records for effective and efficient working
  • To maintain the cleanliness of the premises
  • To be involved in the assessment of the clients progress

Requirements of you as the Support Worker:

  • NVQ level 3 or above desirable
  • Enhanced child and adult DBS
  • Car Driver desirable
  • Have good communication skills, and good written and spoken English

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Salary: £8.50 - £10.00 per hour + sleep-in rate
