Young People's Support Worker required in Basingstoke for an immediate contract with a Young Persons Semi Independent living service. The Young People's Support Worker would be required to support a vulnerable young person who has transitioned from Care to Independent living in the community. The Young Person has high support needs and require an experienced Support Worker who can offer effective solutions to complex problems. Part of this role will also be office based.

Hours Required in Basingstoke 09:00-17:00/11:00-19:00

We need Support Workers with experience and understanding of:

  • Children in need
  • Looked after Children
  • Section 17
  • Child Protection Orders
  • Care Leavers
  • Mental Health Conditions
  • Substance Abuse
  • High risk behaviours
  • Challenging Behaviour
  • Drug and Alcohol abuse

Duties -

  • Supporting the Young People with budgeting, shopping allocation, keeping their properties clean
  • Support the Young People to live independently
  • Key Working
  • Liaising with Care professionals, and when required social workers and the police
  • Writing reports
  • Following Care Plans
