My client is looking for passionate Support Workers to work in their 5-bed semi-independent living service as part of their bank team based in Reading. The successful Support Worker will be joining a stable team with supportive management.

You will be working with young care leavers aged 16+ within a semi-independent living service. You will need to be available at short notice for days and sleep-ins at the service.


09:00 - 21:00

Sleep-in 21:00-09:00

Your responsibilities as the Support Worker:

  • Supporting young people with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, job applications
  • Increasing their independence through encouragement and support
  • Ensuring that the young people meet their curfews
  • Supervise the young people, and ensure they are safe at all times
  • Record keeping, signing young people in and out of the property

Requirements of you as the Support Worker:

  • NVQ level 2-3 in Health and Social Care
  • 6-12 months experience working within a care leavers setting (education, school, semi-independent living)
