A well-established organisation based on the outskirts of Reading are looking for enthusiastic and supportive individuals to join them as Support Workers for children in a residential setting. The organisation offers respite care to children with disabilities.

This not-for-profit company offers a calm and stable environemt, flexible working hours and a rewarding career supporting young people with learning difficulties or physical disabilities. The home is also closed during bank holidays and over christmas so if you are a Support Worker looking for a work/life balance then look no further!

The organisation offers a therapeutic style of care to the children they support (aged 5-18). You will be instrumental in providing a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people. As a Support Worker you will be required to assist them with their daily needs and supervise and engage in a wide range of activities with the children, escorting to and from given activities by either car or public transport.

The organisation is looking for intuitive individuals who can be aware of signs of distress that the children are exhibiting. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to have a career working with vulnerable young people and gain relevant qualifications to progress in your career.

I am keen to speak to candidates who are looking for the next step in the career. It is desirable to have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce/Caring for Children and Young People/Residential Childcare
