A well-known Extra Care Scheme are currently seeking experienced Support Workers to join their Extra-Care Scheme in Reading. The service runs a total of 4 Extra Care Schemes in the Reading area which house elderly residents with various levels of dementia.

This particular scheme housing 20 residents in their own self-contained flats, but there is a capacity for 40. The residents are fairly independent but still require help with personal care and assistance in their flats.

This position is full time 37 hours per week.

Shifts:

06:50am - 14:35pm

14:15pm - 21:45pm

Your responsibilities as the Support Worker:

  • You will be required to follow a daily rota which includes visiting residents in their own flats for a dedicated period of time
  • Following residents care plans and key report writing
  • Supporting with meal prep, personal care and general support within their home
  • No manual handling is currently required in this property
  • Medication Administration at the manager discretion

Requirements of you as the Support Worker:

  • NVQ Level 2-3 desirable
  • Previous experience within extra care schemes, and dementia
  • Manual Handling, First Aid and Medication Administration

Salary: £8.48 - £11.50 per hour
