We have an opportunity for a Residential Support Worker, working with a specialist provider who care for vulnerable children and young people in a residential setting.

The provider specialises in supporting young males who display sexually harmful behaviour and are renowned for the holistic and therapeutic approach they use to care for these vulnerable children and young people.

As the Support Worker, you will be influential in improving the lives of vulnerable young people. Support Workers are imperative in providing a safe and caring environment for all the residents and providing a positive role model for all young people.

What's on Offer

  • Pay from £9 - £12 per hour 
  • Monday - Friday 15:00pm - 23:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-11:00pm
  • Waking Nights and Sleep in's
  • Temporary to Permanent opportunities available within 13 weeks

Roles and Responsibilities

  • 1-1 support sessions
  • Supporting and Promoting life skills
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Encouraging positive behaviour
  • Improving life skills and supporting around meal times, homework and other daily activities

As a Support Worker you must have

  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce/Caring for Children and Young People/Residential Childcare
  • Resilient character due to residents challenging behaviour
  • 12 months experience in a residential children's home
  • Strong understanding of young people and the issues and behaviours they struggle with
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and sleep ins
