My client is looking for passionate Support Workers to work in one of three semi-indepant living services in Reading. Full time hours available plus over time.

The successful Support Worker will be joining one out of three young care leavers services. This particular home houses 4-5 young people aged 16 - 21 years. We are looking for committed support workers who join a thriving service and act as a positive role model for these young people, helping them to increase their independence and prepare for adulthood.




Sleep-in 22:00-07:00am

Your responsibilities as Care Assistant:

  • You will be expected to provide support when required within the service
  • Support young people with meal prep, budgeting, personal hygiene, social skills, appointments and ensure that they adhere to curfews
  • You will be required to maintain cleanliness of the premises
  • Be involved in the assessment of young person progress
  • To ensure that regular opportunities are given to young people
  • Regular record keeping

Requirements of you as Care Assistant:

  • NVQ level 3 or above desirable
  • Enhanced child and adult DBS
  • Car Driver desirable
  • Have good communication skills, and good written and spoken English

Location: Tilehurst, Reading

Salary: from £8.50 per hour
