Support Workers required for a client in Reading. Working as a support worker you will have the great opportunity to join an expanding service in Reading. Working with care leavers aged 16+ years, increasing their independence and building on their life skills.

As a support worker you will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work well on your own and as part of a team.

Shifts:

Days: 07:30-14:30, 14:30-22:00

Sleep-in: 22:00 - 07:30

Your responsibilities as the Support Worker:

  • To provide support when and where it is needed within our semi-independent services
  • To fully understand the aims, objectives and ethos of Outcomes Focused Support Services and reflect these in your daily life.
  • To ensure that all policies and procedures of Outcomes Focused Support Services are adhered to
  • To ensure that regular opportunities are given for young people to feedback on the service and for consultation and to ensure that this information is used to improve the service
  • To keep thorough, confidential and up to date young people records for effective and efficient working
  • To maintain the cleanliness of the premises
  • To be involved in the assessment of young people's progress

Requirements of you as the Support Worker:

  • NVQ level 3 or above desirable
  • Enhanced child and adult DBS
  • Car Driver desirable
  • Have good communication skills, and good written and spoken English

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Salary: £8.50 - £10.00 per hour + sleep-in rate
