A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary to permanent full time Support Worker to join our client in Wokingham, Reading assisting residents with severe Dementia.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of caring for the elderly or vulnerable. As a Support Worker, you will be expected to deliver a high level of care. As we cannot teach compassion, this is an essential requirement.

Shifts:

  • Early- 7am-2:30pm
  • Late- 2:30pm-9:30pm
  • Night- 9:30pm-7am

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Residents with Daily Tasks
  • Administration of medication and delivering personal care
  • Working closely to specially prepared personal care plans
  • Keep clear, accurate and appropriate records in line with policies and procedures
  • Ensure people who use the service have their privacy, dignity and confidentiality maintained at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid Up to date ENHANCED DBS
  • In date Mandatory Training such as Manual Handling, Safeguarding (SOVA), Food Hygiene, Infection Control, Health and Safety, Dignity, Fire Safety, Moving and Handling, First Aid Awareness and Medication Training
  • Previous experience in working with Vulnerable Adults
  • Know how to use a Hoist

Location: Wokingham, Reading

Salary: £9.00 - £10.00 per hour and the permanent care home rate of £8.65/hr after 481 hrs
