Support Worker

Full Time + Part Time Available, Immediate starts.

Shifts available:

Various shifts available between 06:45-22:00 Monday to Friday + Weekends

Responsibilities:

• You will work as part of a team to help to create a safe and caring atmosphere in which growth and independence are fostered.
• To assist with all aspects of personal care and daily living skills in accordance with individual support needs.
• Undertaking the role of a Support Worker for a specified number of young people, with special responsibility to ensure a consistency of the support provided.
• To lead and participate in various recreational, educational and social activities.
• To attend meetings, in conjunction with the line manager, with both educational, care, therapy and medical staff concerning students.
• Assisting with assessing, planning and reviewing children/young people's progress.
• Attending other appropriate in-service training as required by a Support Worker.

To be considered for this Support Worker position, you must have:

• Minimum of 6 months experience working with children with learning disabilities
• Express a passionate, engaging, and caring attitude
• Enhanced Adult and Child DBS Certificate
• Able to travel to Lingfield, either via Public Transport or using your Personal Vehicle
• To be able to understand or to develop an understanding of the rights and needs of children and young adults with a disability
• Able to understand or to develop an understanding of the need to maintain and respect confidentiality
