Supervising Social Worker - Gloucestershire

A Salary up to £33,000 + terrific benefits

An Independent Fostering Agency require a Supervising Social Worker to join their flourishing team to support and guide foster carers and provide stable placements across the Gloucestershire area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Training of the Foster Carer's using activities of the Origination
  • Recruitment for the Organisation
  • Reporting and recording on how the foster carer's performances, needs and placement progress are doing
  • Supporting and Supervising the Foster Carer's to help meet the needs of the Children and Young People
  • Supporting the Registered manager to ensure all staff operate to the according legislations and guidance as well as the Organisations policies and procedures


  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Significant experience of working as a Children's Social Worker,
  • Experience of working within Fostering
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care, Fostering and Adoption including the Children's Act 1989 and its application to Social Work practice
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle to travel to other areas
