Supervising Social Worker - Midlands - Home-based

Summary:
A growing and "Outstanding" rated Independent Fostering Agency based in the West Midlands require an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join their expanding and well thought of Fostering team. This is a home-based role with the current case load covering the Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Staffordshire area but with further growth of the Fostering Agency, the case load will become closer to home.

You will need to be committed, experienced and driven to succeed in this role as you will play an integral part in the growth of this Independent Fostering Agency at an exciting time. This Supervising Social Worker position can be tailored to meet the needs of any candidates that meet the short listing criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting, training, assessing and supporting Foster Carers
  • Providing safe placements for foster children and young people
  • Working with and building relationships with placing authorities
  • Supervising foster carers
  • Helping the Fostering Agency to continue growth
  • Working to agreed timescales
  • Working in an Out-Of-Hours rota

Requirements:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (DipSW/CQSW/BSc)
  • A valid HCPC registration
  • Experience of working with Children and Families in a Social Work background
  • Experience of working within fostering
  • The capability to work from home
  • An extensive working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks regarding Children Social Work, Fostering and Adoption
  • A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel
