A London Borough is looking for a Strategic Safeguarding Lead to join their Adult's Services. This is a Locum Social Work role.

This Borough is looking for a highly skilled Social Work Professional with extensive experience in Strategic Safeguarding work. With the planned start date of the 4th of January for 6 month-long contract, someone with experience in a Service Management or Head of Service level post would be ideal to fulfil the requirements of this position. In the duration of this post, a new hybrid Safeguarding model will be brought in also - the ability to adapt and work with this is key.

Your responsibilities as a Strategic Safeguarding Lead:

  • Leading on Section 44 commissioning and systems reviews with other Senior Management
  • Presenting to a wide range of Partners in regards to new Safeguarding plans
  • Working alongside a new Operational Manager to train and support 6 new SAM's
  • Act as a point of advice when discussing Safeguarding policies and procedures and review appropriately
  • Work in collaboration with the Audit Manager to review and analyse practice and process of Safeguarding cases
  • Be involved in report writing and project work to throughout the contract

Requirements of you as a Strategic Safeguarding Lead:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Have competent knowledge and experience of Safeguarding and Strategic work

Pay rate: £45.00 - £50.00 per hour
