Fantastic opportunity for Shift Leading Residential Workers with local provider who support vulnerable young people in a children's EBD home. Offering up to £26,000 plus additional £6500 for sleep ins.

The provider who support young people including those with EBD, challenging behaviour, autism and learning disabilities are offering an excellent salary as well as ongoing progression and employee benefits.

As the Shift Leading Residential Worker, you would assist the Registered and Deputy Manager with running of the home, lead a team Residential Workers to ensure the home is running smoothly on a day to day basis.

The Shift Leading Residential Worker must have

  • NVQ Level 3
  • Must have 12 months experience in a residential children's home
  • Supervisory or shift leading experience is essential
  • Strong understanding of young people and the issues and behaviours they struggle with
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and sleep ins

The Senior Residential Worker's responsibilities are to

  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered and Deputy Manager
  • Lead a team of Residential Care Workers whilst you are on shift
  • Ensure all staff are working within Ofsted regulations
  • Handle petty cash
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and external agencies
  • Ensure residents are safeguarded at all times
  • Provide a nurturing and positive environment within the home
