Service Manager - Youth Justice

An East London based Local Authority are looking for a Service Manager for their Youth Justice Service. As the Service Manager, you will be central to providing exceptional and creative leadership for our Youth Justice Team and making a positive difference to children, young people and their families. This role is a full-time, permanent position.

The ideal Service Manager will be a social work qualified manager with extensive youth justice experience and knowledge. Whilst this is a busy team in a developing local authority, there is opportunities with great training and development programmes.

Your responsibilities as the Service Manager:

• Plan, organise and manage the team, providing effective operational management and support.
• Support Head of Service to deliver on portfolio commitments and National Standards and expectations as well as inspection preparation
• Oversee all recruitment, service development, quality assurance and individual casework undertaken by the team.

Requirements of you as the Service Manager:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid HCPC registration
• Experience of working within Youth Offending Team
• Managerial experirence
• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Location: East London

Salary: Up to £70,000
