A local provider for the care and education for vulnerable young people require a Senior Residential Worker for children's EBD home based in Ringwood. Offering up to £24,000 plus additional salary for sleep-ins.

The provider who support young people including those with EBD, challenging behaviour, autism and learning disabilities are offering an excellent salary as well as ongoing progression and employee benefits.

As the Senior Residential Worker you would assist the Registered and Deputy Manager with running of the home, lead a team Residential Workers to ensure the home is running smoothly on a day to day basis.

The Senior Residential Worker must have

  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willing to work towwards this)
  • Must have 12 months experience in a residential children's home
  • Supervisory or shift leading experience essential
  • Strong understanding of young people and the issues and behaviours they struggle with
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and sleep ins
  • The Senior Residential Worker's responsibilities are to
  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered and Deputy Manager
  • Lead a team of Residential Care Workers whilst you are on shift
  • Ensure all staff are working within Ofsted regulations
  • Handle petty cash
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and external agencies
  • Ensure residents are safeguarded at all times
  • Provide a nurturing and positive environment within the home
