Fantastic opportunity for experienced children's support workers to join a residential care provider in Gloucester, Gloucestershire for young girls and adolescents. This residence provides support for individuals who may have been subject to sexual exploitation and abuse, consequently suffering from emotional behaviour difficulties (EBD).

You will be a resilient and dedicated individual looking to provide the highest standard of support. You will be able to handle challenging behaviour and have a therapeutic, child-centred approach to care. The Role:

  • Ensuring a safe environment and protecting the welfare of the young people
  • Supporting the manager in the training and development of the team
  • Assisting in the running of the Home e.g. assisting in planning staff rotas and training
  • Assisting in the referral, matching and assessment process of the organisation
  • Taking an active role in responding to emergencies within the home
  • Encouraging the development of individual interests and hobbies
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with the young people, promoting their self-efficacy

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Children's and Young People's Workforce (or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience working with children/adolescents in a residential setting
  • A willingness to provide exceptional support for vulnerable young people
  • Full UK Driving Licence
