Exciting opportunity to lead and motivate a team of support workers within a rapidly expanding supported living service based in Gloucestershire. Offering a salary of £15,000+ (plus sleep-ins circa £3,000).

My client provides exceptional supported living services across the region, providing care for adults with complex needs including learning disabilities and mental health difficulties.

They are looking for Senior Support Workers to pose as role models for a team of support workers and facilitate communication within all levels of the staff team.

The Senior Support Workers responsibilities include

  • Leading and directing the support worker team to ensure high standards
  • Facilitating good communication within all levels of the staff team
  • Assisting in the organisation and monitoring of the service in conjunction with the Manager
  • Protecting and promoting the interests of the service users

A Senior Support Worker will have

  • NVQ Level 2/3 Health and Social Care
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in care environment
  • A genuine interest and passion for working with learning disabilities and mental health
  • Driving licence preferred

Please note that this role will involve on-call duties and working on shifts including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins (1-2 available per week).

This role would suit any experienced support workers looking to progress within a care environment. Ideally, applicants will be genuinely interested in promoting the independence of those with learning disabilities or mental health issues.
