We have an exceptional new role available for a Senior Support Worker, to join an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated Residential home for Children and Young People. Offering a salary up to £23,000 dependant on experience.

The organisation is a small yet growing provider of residential services who provide care and support for children and young people aged 8-18 years with Autism and Learning disability. They have a fantastic reputation which has resulted in them beginning a process which will award them Autism Accreditation by The National Autistic Society.

They are looking for a strong Senior Support Worker who will act as a role model for the staff team, supporting and providing guidance when needed.

As the Senior Support Worker, you must have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years' experience working within a Residential Child Care environment
  • Minimum 2 years' managerial experience
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and inspections
  • Staff supervision and managerial skills
  • Flexibility to work the on call rota
  • Full UK drivers licence (desirable)

As the Senior Support Worker, you will:

  • Assist the manager in ensuring that the home complies with Children's Home regulations and relevant legislation.
  • Assist in developing, supporting and leading the staff team in working with children and young people.
  • Shift lead ensuring that adequate support is provided to the staff and young people, to deliver a successful and positive shift with best practice in a family environment.
  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people, ensuring the safeguarding policy is implemented at all times
