A Senior Support Worker role is available working in a children's residential home with children and young people who display emotional behaviour disorders. As the Senior Support Worker, you're required to lead a staff team of Residential Support Workers, report to Senior management and provide an outstanding quality of care.

Requirements of the Senior Support Worker include:

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Children and young people's workforce
  • UK driving license
  • Experience working at Senior Support Worker level in a children's residential setting working with young people who display emotional behaviour disorders
  • Good standard of written English for report writing
  • Be committed to work sleep-ins, long days, weekends and weekdays

Responsibilities of the Senior Support Worker include:

  • Act as an appropriate role model
  • Handle challenging situations appropriately and accordingly
  • Follow the companies guidelines and work under Ofsted regulations
  • Shift lead and delegate responsibility to the Residential Support Workers
  • Provide an outstanding quality of care to the young people at all times

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 (plus payments for sleep-in duties)

Location: Leiston
