The Senior Support Worker within a children's home is influential in the wellbeing of the young people and the effectiveness of this important residential service.

As a Senior Support Worker , your responsibilities are to:

  • Lead a team of residential support workers
  • Ensure the young people's physical and emotional wellbeing is nurtured
  • Cover a variety of shifts to ensure the home is fully staffed always
  • Promote independence and social inclusion
  • Work to Ofsted and children's home regulations

The Senior Support Worker must have:

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People or Residential Childcare (or willing to work towards)
  • Flexibility to worker days, nights, sleep ins and weekends
  • Commitment to gain further qualifications
