Charles Hunter Associates are currently assisting a highly reputable local authority to recruit a Senior Social Worker to join their team in Central London

This local authority are currently looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Senior Social Worker who can effectively manage a complex caseload of clients with severe and enduring mental health needs whilst assessing the social care needs of individuals. You will have strong communication, engagement and analytical skills and have a track record of delivering excellent services for vulnerable adults.

As a senior Social Worker you will have extensive experience of Mental Health and Social Care Acts and highly developed assessment and risk management skills.You will also carry a small caseload as well as provide advice, guidance and supervision to other members of the teams and be able to support staff to maintain a consistent level of performance.



The Adults Assistant Team Manager will

  • Demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to the agenda and be able to demonstrate an applied knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation including the Mental Capacity Act and the NHS Continuing Healthcare National Framework.
  • You will be an excellent communicator and demonstrate the skills and ability to manage and support the day to day running of a busy, dynamic team, effectively prioritising daily challenges and expectation.
  • You will be confident in making sound decisions that respond flexibly and quickly to changing needs that arise in a high-pressure locality team.
  • You will be able to develop effective partnerships with individuals, carers and families and positive relationships with professional health staff both within and outside the locality team



The role and responsibilities of the Adults Assistant Team Manager

  • Demonstrate an applied and effective knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults' procedures and be able to evidence this.
  • You will support carers and a demonstrable commitment to providing management that supports and promotes the authorities' equality and diversity policy.
  • You will demonstrate a good understanding of both the health and social care agendas.
  • developing staff practice and provide effective professional supervision to less experienced colleagues.
  • You will support the manager to deliver high quality personalised adult social care and supporting timely, safe and effective hospital discharges
