We have an exceptional new role available for a Senior Residential Support Worker, to join an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated Residential home. The organisation is a small yet growing provider of residential services who provide care and support for children and young people aged 8-18 years with Autism and Learning disability.

As the Senior Residential Support Worker, your role is to act as role model to the staff team and children and young people. Below is a list of some of the responsibilities to give you a general understanding of the Senior Support Worker position.

  • Act as positive role model for the staff & young people
  • To provide support and encouragement to staff offering advice, guidance and assistance
  • To ensure effective, positive communication within the team and promote best practice
  • Manage and lead a team of Support Workers monitoring performance, identifying development needs and supporting where needed


  • NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce *or equivalent*
  • Experience working with children or young adults with learning disabilities
  • Minimum 1 year or more of experience working as a Senior/Team leader in residential care environment
  • Ability to interact with a range of young people
  • Ability to lead a team and to work as part of a team
